Back to reality

ok, so here i am back in singapore and suffering fr withdrawal symptoms. The trip was great, much better than wat i expected. it was exactly wat i was looking for, a quiet getaway with a total change of scenery and lifestyle.

I really enjoyed the carefree lifestyle there for the 5 days. Waking up everyday and after breakfast at the hotel, we would head out to roam the streets on our beloved bikes haha. I think tats wat i enjoyed the most, the bike riding. Over there, u hardly see any traffic lights so it was smooth flowing traffic all the way. My particular favourtite has to be the coastal road that we took to get to the beach. The many bends and slopes ensured each ride was a hell lot of fun. Parking was a breeze too; u simply stopped and parked yr bike by the roadside as and when u liked. Now tats something u will never be able to do in S'pore.

The trip to the surrounding islands was very interesting as well. the clear waters and the sea breeze were simply refreshing. not to mention the suntanning... i think i like being brown after all lol. Another highlight was the daily massages. after a long tiring day, it was pure heaven to get a gd body massage. i enjoyed it every day and kept coming back for more. most imptly, it was cheap hahaha. real cheap as compared to here.

oh ya i even managed to squeeze in a couple of trips to the local police station. Not tat i committed any heinous crimes, let's just say i was contributing to the local economy. it was certainly an eye opener, i mean who the hell visits the police station on tour?

another highlight was the jet skiing. wooohhh i simply loved it. the freedom of bouncing on the waves at incredible speed and feeling the wind in yr face, it's priceless. wish i could have done it one more time. well other than all these activities, we managed to do some shopping, and exploring the area. cheap food was a bonus. at night, we would be hooked on the National Geographic Channel, a habit tat i've brought back wif me as well haha.

Oh well, 5 days were gone in a flash. it was over much too soon. i really didnt want to come back yet. i was really enjoying being away fr everybody, the internet, etc. over there, when u look out u see mountains and the sea. Back here, all u see are lifeless tall buildings. life there is so much simpler. Sigh, but we can't control everything. So i'm back here in this boring place and really missing the carefree lifestyle over there. I'll always have fond memories of tat place, and i'm sure i'll go back there some day.

p.s. The pics i took have been uploaded into my friendster profile under photo albums. here's the link

A breath of fresh air

I am writing this at 447 in the morning. Just grabbing a bite before i head off to the airport. looking forward to having a great trip. Personally, i think going away for a few days will do me a world of good. I can relax and recharge myself and enjoy a new environment for a while. I think this breath of fresh air is exactly wat i need rite now. Hopefully, i will return refreshed, energised and ready to go. Sun, sand, and the beach, here i come! =)

A day at the pool

Went swimming with Chin in the morning. Actually i really wanted to sleep longer, but since i promised him, i reluctantly dragged myself out of bed. Had breakfast, then took a bus down to Tampines. Come to think of it, i can't even remember the last time i went swimming haha.

The pool was rather empty, so there was a lot of space to swim around. I did a few laps while Chin was busy suntanning himself, trying to make himself look like a certain Mr. Chocolate Dog. Hahaha. Oh yeah did i mention he was also ogling at this chick in a red bikini suntanning herself. i was half expecting the bugger's nose to bleed anytime soon. But then again, I myself was no less guilty wahaha.

Dunno whether it's our eyes or the water, but both me and Chin's eyes were reddish and hurting like mad. Maybe they use a different brand of chlorine compared to other swimming pools lol. And also my face and body are kinda sunburnt rite now, like reddish in color. But anyway, it was great having a swim after such a long time. Although we were both really tired, i think i can say that we're gg to do this more often in the future.
